Everyone wants to be an original but I wonder sometimes do
everyone knows what being original means? People come out with copy rights
because of wanting to be an original. Some got sued for ignoring the copy right
issue. Most have forgotten an important part of being an original and that is ‘Ego’.
Being original means being having such big ego till some calls it charisma. I
give a good example, the late Steve Job; he has so much talent but has an ego
so huge that only Atlas would have the strength to carry it. He created a great
gadget for telecommunication and engages people working for him and made them
sworn to secrecy. His company even sued another company for ‘copying’ and to
think that his so called great technology was once copied from another. What
sadden me is his talent is now buried with him. His knowledge, his skills all gone
with him just like that. I was taught to share my knowledge and skills so I’ll
gain more knowledge and sharpen my skills. My legacy will continue even though
I’m gone. Something hidden will eventually be forgotten in time. So in
generation to come, people will only remember a fragment of a great talent. What
makes a man so talented and so into originality in the end lost so much? Ego!
There’s nothing wrong with being original but removed all
ego and you won’t go wrong.
